Christmas at St Peter’s

The Christmas Fayre

Christmas at St Peter’s is always a special time, initiated by the Christmas Fayre. The Christmas Fayre itself always includes all the traditional elements that make these events so popular, these include all the usual table top games, raffles and homemade cakes and crafts.

A large Santa’s Grotto is always created to excite children of all ages, it has been an ice palace, a toy shop and even a ‘Doctor Who’ Grotto. In 2017 we premiered our POLAR EXPRESS Grotto which will also be in place for Christmas 2018.

The Christmas Eve Service.

The meaning of Christmas. Our evening service starts at 11.30pm in St Peter’s Church.

The 12 Days of Christmas.

The 12 Days of Christmas Display was started in 2007 as a way of involving groups and organisations in a crafty and fun way. Individuals or groups can apply to create a small display based on the Christian song of the same name. The displays are then exhibited in the Church all through the festive period and have proved a huge success. In 2015 the display had an International theme which has continued successfully and will feature in our 2018 celebrations.

The Christmas Carol Service

Hymns to create a magical festive feeling, in a service that celebrates the TRUE meaning of Christmas.
